LSAD Public Interest Summer Fellowship
LSAD’s Summer Public Interest Fellowship
The Law Students of African Descent (LSAD) is proud to offer the Summer Public Interest Fellowship, a vital resource dedicated to supporting our members who are passionate about pursuing careers in public interest law. Recognizing that Black law students often face disproportionate student loan debt and are more likely to choose public interest professions, LSAD is committed to removing financial barriers and fostering a new generation of leaders dedicated to serving their communities.
This fellowship aims to alleviate the financial burden often associated with unpaid or low-paying summer internships in the public interest sector. By providing financial assistance, LSAD empowers its members to gain valuable experience, develop essential skills, and make a meaningful impact through their work.
We believe that a diverse legal profession is essential to achieving justice for all. By investing in our students and their commitment to public service, we are helping to build a brighter future for our communities and the legal field as a whole.
